Most of our customers suffer from Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) which causes loss of central vision. In most cases enough peripheral vision remains for the sufferer to move around their home without too much difficulty but, reading, writing, watching the television, looking at photographs and recognising people becomes very difficult.

We often find our customers struggling to read and write with a magnifying glass unaware that there is a wide range of electronic magnifying devices available which make these tasks so much easier.

Our equipment projects text or images on to a screen where they can be magnified up to 60x with very sharp contrast. This not only takes the strain out of reading but it also enables the user to see what and where they are writing, enabling them to do crosswords, write cheques and complete forms.

Typically our customers use our equipment to read cooking instructions, read their post, read the newspaper, look at their bank statement, read shopping catalogues and magazines, write cheques and birthday cards and look at family photographs. Many of our customers also use our equipment for their hobbies such as stamp collecting.
